The Cybersecurity Awareness And Creative Handholding (CAWACH) Kendra is an initiative by KCG, the Government of Gujarat under the Education Department, in collaboration with the Home Department. Its primary goal is to empower students with the knowledge and skills required for safe and secure use of digital platforms. The Kendra educates on cyber hygiene, cybercrime and cybersecurity, aiming to secure digital systems and build a safer cyberspace for all college stakeholders.​​

Objectives

  • To raise cyber hygiene and cybersecurity awareness among students, faculty and staff.
  • To provide education and resources to identify, avoid and respond to cyber threats and crimes.
  • To implement master training programs for educators and students on digital safety.
  • To develop and share interactive e-content for online security.
  • To leverage digital and social platforms to expand cybersecurity education.
  • To encourage safe, ethical and productive use of digital technologies in academic and personal life​​.

The vision of the Kendra is to create cyber-aware academic communities, where every learner is empowered to participate confidently and safely in the digital world, supporting national objectives for cyber resilience and digital empowerment.​

The mission of the CAWACH Kendra is to foster a secure digital environment in campus by equipping young minds with practical knowledge, skills and resources to recognize, prevent and counteract cyber threats. It seeks to develop a generation that is aware, responsible and resilient in the face of evolving digital risks.​
